Cloth diapering made my day…
January 1st, 2009 @ 10:33 pm

My friend Nicole, of Gidget Goes Home, introduced me to cloth diapering when Jude was a few months old and I have done it on and off since. I mostly use cloth diapers at home, and when we are out and about (which seems like alot) I use disposables.

For Christmas we were visiting my family in California and Jude started getting these red bumps in his groin area. I put some diaper rash cream on it and it didn’t go away. I knew that he just needed to “air out.” So, we got home yesterday and I used cloths diapers and voila, diaper rash gone. Cloth diapers are soft, flexible and absorbent, as well as a healthier, sustainable alternative to disposable diapers. Yay! There are so many choices when it comes to cloth diapers, I happen to use Bumkins, but I have heard great things about bumGenius and Fuzzi Bunz. I really wish I had tried cloth diapering with all my children, but better late than never…. And did I mention how cute they are???
